EVM Visual Report Excel

Project 2007. excel 2007.

I am exporting to excel with a visual report and having some odd behaviors.

My EV over time report has the AC field showing up with figures like
1.029E+285. Actual cost field is good, but I am not sure which I am supposed
to be using(when selecting from excel Pivot table field list). From my
research, Actual Cost is the one because it will not change as the status
date moves around.

When I do a comparison of PV, EV, and Actual Cost; Actual Cost is decreasing
over time. It looks like it is reporting on the actual cost for just that
weeki. I need this as an running total to compare with EV and PV, but I can
not get the performance of that correct.

Only the Actual Cost(ACWP) field matches my pivot table value. PV and EV do
not match up with pivot table totals and my project summary task (comparing
EV table vs Pivot chart in Excel).

Please help.

Thank you much.

Update!

After an update(which I swear I had already done) a few things have changed:

AC (one of the three defaulted values when creating a visual w/ project
2007) is now showing up and is functioning like expected as a running total
to the status date.

But still, the only value that matches my EV table in project is AC. Except
for now it is showing up on the table AND the graph correct.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

I had the same problems with my project when generating reports. All m
numbers where E+247 or something like that. I found out that b
generating a report where the level of usage data to include in th
report was days and then after closing this report selecting level o
usage to be weeks and generating a new report I could get norma
numbers. I find it a bit strange, but it works. :
