EWS and error -19717 for any task assigned to me by Outlook 2007 user

Bill Bryson

The task functionality of EWS is still woeful and now I have the added fun
of getting a sync error for any task that is assigned to me by an Outlook
2007 user.

Could not synchronize record: Task Request: Subject of Task

The task request has already been sent and may not be updated.

Error: -19717

To add to the fun the email message sent does not allow me to accept the
task and when I accept it using Outlook 2007 in Parallels it is deleted even
though I might need to read the contents or attachments in it. When I move
it out of Deleted Items, the sync error message occurs.

Anyone have the same issue of error -19717?

The EWS version of Entourage only supports *syncing* tasks with Exchange
so that you can access them in Outlook, Entourage or even Apple's Mail
when they connect to the same account.

To date, I believe Outlook is still the only Exchange client that can
actually send/accept tasks with other Exchange clients.

Hope this helps!
