EXC_BAD_ACCESS Help please

Hi,

Because of bad battery in my UPS, when i turned on my printer the power
was cut off from my computer. And now entourage is crashing. This is
what it it tells me. (below)

I have tried:
-Repairing permissions: this has worked in the past.
-Repair disk via First Aid and Disk Warrior
-Removing perf files, entourage pref and something.pref.plist
-Verifying the database. Ok then rebuilding anyway.

NO LUCK.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Diane Ross

Because of bad battery in my UPS, when i turned on my printer the power
was cut off from my computer. And now entourage is crashing. This is
what it it tells me. (below)

I have tried:
-Repairing permissions: this has worked in the past.
-Repair disk via First Aid and Disk Warrior
-Removing perf files, entourage pref and something.pref.plist
-Verifying the database. Ok then rebuilding anyway.

NO LUCK.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Power crashes can affect all files. You need to determine where the problem
is located to know what steps to take.

To verify if the problem is in your database or your system files, create a
new Identity in Entourage and see if the problem exists with a new blank
Identity.

If the problem still occurs then create a new User in System Preferences.
Test Entourage in the new User. If the problem was solved with a new
Identity, then the problem is your database.

If the problem still exists, then the problem is with your OS and you will
need to do an Archive and Install.

Entourage keeps on crashing so i am not able to try this.
If the problem still occurs then create a new User in System Preferences.

It could be possible to track down the specific files, but it could result
in many countless hours of troubleshooting. Archive and install should
result in a fix that will get you back to normal quickly.

Let us know how it goes after the archive and install.
