Excel 07 backup File

I use office 2007 and when I save a file in excel it creates a backup file
automatically. How do I stop this? I have tried unchecked any auto recovery
section I could find, but it still creates that pesky backup file. I hate
having to keep deleting the unneccesary extra file.

Any help or suggestion would be helpful. Thanks

Please ask your question in an Excel newsgroup. This group is for a different
program, Microsoft Access; the webpage can be confusing and may have misled
you.

Yeah..sorry about posting here. I realized it right after I clicked to post.
I couldn't find the way to delete it. PLease igore my question here for I
have already posted it in the Excel forum.
