Excel 2000 Crashing when re-sizing a column

Hello,

I have a user here with a Toshiba Tecra laptop that is
experiencing an Excel crash when he re-sizes a column.

If he re-sizes and waits, then the column will eventually
re-size and all is good. If he re-sizes and immediately
clicks somewhere else in the worksheet, his system halts
completely.

Has anyone had any similiar experiences or could you
possibly point me towards another solution site.

I went through each of the 22 pages here but wasn't able
to come up with anything.
