Excel 2000 Data table assistance

Is it possible to have data appear on the chart but not all of the data to
appear on the data table - if so how?

The data table shows all the data in the chart. You can hide a charted series by
formatting the lines and markers or bars to be invisible, but you can't hide data
from the table.

You could construct a table in the cells near the chart (assuming it's embedded in
the worksheet), and include whatever data and formatting you want. Alternatively,
you can construct a table somewhere else, copy it as a picture (hold shift while
selecting the Edit menu, and choose Copy Picture, and use the Picture option, not
bitmap.
