Excel 2000-dates

Every time I try to put in a game score (e.g. 3-2) into a
worksheet, the entry is turned into a date (e.g. 3-2
becomes 2-Mar). I can't stop it. What am I doing wrong?

Hi John,

I tried the same thing and got a similar result. However, if you format the
cells as text prior to entereing 3-2, it stays as "3-2" without the quotes.
