Hi Mary:

I would say you've gotten infected with a bit of spyware there.

Have a look here:
http://www.file.net/process/mdhelper.dll.html

If you intentionally installed Mass Downloader, I suggest you intentionally
uninstall it again :) It doesn't do any good, and it does provide a target
viruses can attack.

So many people get sucked in by these applications that promise to "make the
internet faster". (I know that I did myself, in the early days...) Now I
am older and wiser I have learned that there is only ONE law that applies
universally on the Internet: "You get what you pay for." If you want more
water, buy a bigger hose. If you want faster downloads, buy a higher speed
internet service. If Windows is running properly, it's going as fast as
your connection allows: Mass Downloader is not going to alter that.

Cheers

hi john:
thanks for the information. actually i was downloading msworks from an
installation disk. This disk was burned for me at one of the colleges here.
I have alot of files that will not download because it says its missing etc.
So, I guess I will find another source of MS word 2000 Professional and get
rid of the one I have. I will have to run my spyware and check it out. Once
again thank you
