Excel 2000 temp files

Everytime I open an excel file it create a lot of tmp
files, and when I close the Excel programm the tmp files
stay excist.

Could someone help me please?

Thnx,

I know, but when I open an excel file and close it
normally the tmp file should be deleted not making 5 or 6
tmp files that stay!

This is something that happens with many applications === make a batch command
file and put it in the startup folder of your system cleaning the temp directory
when you boot up

I know what the problem is Auto archive is activated,

What's AutoArchive?

There have been a few posts that describe your situation and I've never seen a
real solution.

And now that you posted one, I don't know what it means.

Help me understand!
