Excel 2000 Unable to open

I recently went to Microsoft's update site and added the
newest service pack for my office products on Windows 98
SE. Now Excel will not open and crashes the computer.
Can someone help? I have tried to remove and repair
Office, and even reinstall Windows 98, without formatting
the drive, but I still have the same problem.

I have run into thte same problem within the last 3
weeks. Excel 2000 will not even launch and when I try it
hangs and requires me to do a ctrl+alt+delete, which then
gives me a "system resouce low" error message, then locks
me up. I know I do not have a resource issue because free
resources are running at 90%. All other MS Office 2000
products work fine and I have done numerous virus scans
without anything coming up.

Sorry I couldn't help, but if someone out there can it
would be much appreciated.
