It says that I have an application error. It seems like
anytime that I spend a lot of time on this particular
spreadsheet, I always
get Dr. Watson popping up.

Dr. Watson poppes up when the system runs out of memory.
try using the same workbook on a different mashine (more
powerful) and see if the problem presist.
