Hi Richard,
Is there much different in the Excel 2002 and 2007? I have 2002 and I was
thinking about buying Student Office 2007 for $79 so do you think it would
be worth it?
Here's one more free opinion
It depends on what you use Excel for.
2007 introduces the Ribbon - this is a new menu system that is very
different from what you are used to and does take a bit of time to learn.
Some people like the Ribbon, some don't (I don't). If you think that your
employer is likely to switch to 2007 in the near future, then it may be
worth changing to 2007 just to get started using the Ribbon. The old menus
are gone for good.
2007 has some new features. See

None of these are what I would call 'killer new features' that you must
have. However, that opinion is largely based on the work I do in Excel, you
may use Excel in ways that mean some of the new features are of great
benefit to you.
