Excel 2002 - 7: Suggestion for MS to add "Row Reler"

M

Mr. Low

Hi,

My recent post on this subject refers.

I understand from Pete that there is an Add On at
http://www.cpearson.com/excel/RowLiner.htm.

However there are a number of shortcoming to this add on as commented at the
URL, at present I am not confident of downloading and installing it.

I would be much appreciate if MS could look into the possiblity of designing
this Add On for the Excel 2002 and later user. If possible lets this "Row
Ruler" have a light color row shading and another shading of a different
color for the active cell.

Also make this Row Ruler able to work on Split Windows and Lock Titile sheet
and preserve the undo feature.

I believe strongly that , with this new add on the Excel user could work
more productively in the office.

Thanks

Low

You might like to try Chip Pearson's RowLiner add-in, which you can
download from here:

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I am working on a large spreadsheet with many rows and columns of data
without any spacing in between.

I find it difficult to read correctly the cell at 7 to 8 column a the right
or left of the the active cell.

May I know if there is a way for me to have a light color band A6:IV6 which
move along with the row where the cursor is. This is to serve as a ruler to
guide my eye while reading across the screen from left to right or the other
way round.

Thanks

Low

Mr Low, this is peer-to-peer newsgroup. Microsoft only hold it; they do not
monitor it.
MS does not make custom add-ins; users learn VBA and 'roll their own'
best wishes
