Dear all
Symptom:
I went to the site below
http://www.developershandbook.com/ErrataVBLanguage.htm
and selected and ctrl+c for copying
from the line: Last updated 19 November 2001.
to the end of the table,
then pasted in a worksheet by ctrl+v then close excel
by clicking on Close icon (equiv. to Alt+F4).
This seemed to cause the crash and Excel's usual recovery is made,
but the same problem exists since then.
I did the same thing with Word and it also has the same problem.
Could anybody replicate this symptom?
I tried system recovery, auto-fixing and reinstalling Office XP
personal, etc., but the problem persists.
I did virus check with the most updated virus database.
I can save files, but Excel crashes only when closing Excel and Word.
This problem does not present in Outlook.
PC spec:
Windwos XP
Office XP Personal
OS Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 1 Build 2600
Physical Memory 512.00 MB
