Greetings Gurus...

One of my users here is experiencing a weird problem with Excel, when
she clicks on an excel document, Excel launches by itself without
(opening) the document.

She is running office xp pro on a WinXP machine. I have done the
following so far with no luck.

Detect and Repair.
Uninstalled and reinstalled Excel.
Did Repair office installation.
Did 'run all from my computer' under the office setup CD options.
removed spaces from document and tried opening it. no luck
created new document with single word name. no luck
Did Excel/ s and looked under the options general tab, everything is
ok.
Applied Office XP SP1 and SP2. no luck.
Did excel /regserver and excel /unregserver. no luck
Everything ok under folder options, file type for excel.

Can anyone help me?! Thanks!

Hi Jack,

You may want to check with the folks in the Excel
newsgroups, news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.excel

If you have Excel opened and then click on a file
in Windows Explorer does it open in Excel?
May want to try in Office safe mode (hold ctrl key
when starting) and check to see if there are any
add-ins that load with Excel that may be causing an
issue.
