OS : Microsoft Windows XP with Media Center Edition
Problem : When I click Start/Programs/Microsoft Excel, the Excel Logo just
binlks one on the screen and disappears. Excel does not start. No Excel File
opens from Windows Explorer.
When I try Safe mode, Installer windows pops up with message "Please wait
while Windows configures MS Off XP with Frontpage andthen Excel 2002 Opens in
Safe Mode.
I have tried all the steps mentioned in MS Site (xlb rename method/pip
rename method/ Registry Keys alterations etc as suggested). I have also run
/Unregserver/Regserver method.
No method ahs been successful.
Re-installing twice has not helped. Stopping Speech Recognition has aslo not
helped. I have made a step by step check of all setting in Xl* filetypes in
Explorer / Folder options. Disabling Kaspersky Antivirus Internet Secutiry 7
has also not helped.
Request help from anyone on this. Thanks in advance.
