Mr. Low
Dear Sir,
Thank you for the feature of speed filling cells downwards in a table by
clicking the bottom right corner of the cell.
This feature has enable the user to work more swiftly with the worksheets.
How about speed filing the cells horizontally from the left to the right of
a table ? This is a very common operation while working with spreadsheet,
but I noticed that this feature is not available in Excel 2002 to 2007.
Lets take the following example:
A B C D CX
1 xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx
2 xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx
3 xxx
Currently, if the users wish to speed fill horizontally , he may need to
perform the following keyboard steps:
Enter the formula in A3 and tap F5 enter the range (say) A3:CX3 click OK Tap
F2 Ctrl + Enter will fill the formula
As the above steps involved too many key strokes, I would like to suggest
for a simpler a fast way of doing the job, similar to the current downward
fill function. Just add another small square at the top left hand corner of
the active cell for speed filing horizontally from left to right.
This would make our work a lot easier and faster.
Alternatively you could enable other features to fill the cell leftwards and
upwards, This operation is however not so common.
I hope my suggestion helps.
Best Regards
Low
