Hi
I hope someone can help with this:
I use Excel VBA macros to open Outlook Calendar files across a network
at work.
Basically the code selects subject lines, opens the calendar (.eml)
file and looks for certain pieces of information. Under Excel 2000
this has worked well.
However with Excel 2003, the 'open' file is blank. Even opened
manually in 2003, direct from the directory, it's still blank. I can
copy the .eml file, change the file extension to .txt and it will open
it ok, but of course it's processing hundreds of files so copying them
and renaming them slows the whole thing down.
What I'd like to know is, what has changed? Why does 2003 not read the
..eml files as text files. I've tried using the OpenText command but
that does not work either. I've been through MS help, but nothing.
I'm guessing that 2003 sees the eml files as calendar files and can't
interpret them, but does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!
