Excel 2003 can not open file

I am using Excel 2003 and every morning i can not open one file.

I open excel, use the menue to select file the the file i want to open
from my recently opened files.

It will give me an error message that the file can not be found, but if
i select another document it will open fine. (both files on network
drive) I then try to open the first file again and it says it can not be
found. The path that shows up is P:\Logistics\Barley & C'Seed
I then browse to the location of the file and can open the file. From
that point on i can select the file from the recently opened files on
the file menue till the next morning.

No one else in the office has the same issue, only me. What can i look
at to get rid of this annoying problem.

Andrew I would suspect Excel is having trouble parsing the & and ' in the
folder name. Just for interest try one with no spaces, etc in it and see if
that cures it

it makes no difference, now it pulled the same thing with a file named
June 2006.xls

problem only happens in the morning after the system was shut down the
night before. Then once the file has been opened by browsing excel will
not have the problem again till the next day.

no joy, it still does it every day. Even if i don't open excel for a few
hours after logging on. No issues what so ever with Microsoft word. I'm
beginning to think that this issue is an unpublished bug that has been
introduced recently to excel. Guess i can only sit and wait for someone
to discover the cause and figure a solution other than browsing to the
file each day. Its just very annoying.
