Excel 2003 changes all 9's to 10's!

I have a user on a WinXP SP3 pc using office 2003. In Excel, whenever he
puts a number 9 into a cell and either hits enter or clicks onto another
cell, Excel changes the 9 to a 10!

I checked the formatting of the cell and it does this no matter how the cell
is formatted - as number, text, currency...etc.

It doesn't do this for any other number...8's stay as 8's....3's stay as
3's....but all 9's change to 10's.

I tried totally uninstalling Office, rebooting then reinstalling, but it is
still doing it.

0.9's stay as 0.9's, however ans 19's stay as 19's....but 9.0's will change
to 10!

Help please! Thanks.

It sounds as if there's an autocorrect entry that's automatically changing 9
to 10. Seems like it might've been a practical joke. Did it start, say, back
near the beginning of April?

Ha! Uh...no. I actually saw it with my own eyes! Weirdest thing ever!!!!

So - how would I check this "Autocorrect" thing you mentioned?
