Excel 2003 color fill problems

Just purchased Microsoft Office Professional 2003. My
Excel 2003 does not allow color fill to work. Color fill
on worksheets work fine on two computers at work, likely
older versions of Excel, but the same files copied on
floppy at work do NOT work in my DELL notebook. Cannot
figure it out. Would appreciate help. Thanx
