Excel 2003 Control Toolbox

I get an error message that states "Microsoft Map no longer supported in
Microsoft Excel" when I try to drag a control to a spreadsheet. Any thoughts?

Thanks, Dave, but this message comes up when I try to add a combo box, check
box, etc. Geographical maps have nothing to do with what I'm trying to do in
this spreadsheet. That's what puzzles me. Every reference I've found to
this error, points me to creating maps, not form controls.

Thanks, Gord, but again, what I am trying to do is add a Control from the
Control Toolbox, and this is the error I receive when I drag the Control to
the spreadsheet (Microsoft Maps is no longer supported in Microsoft Excel).
I do not understand what Microsoft Maps has to do with Controls.

Ok, I resorted to the old tried and true! Clicked on Help/Repair, and the
problem is fixed. I can now add controls from the Control Toolbox. Thanks
to all for you responses!

I'd look under Tools|References to see if any of the checked items are shown as
MISSING. Then uncheck those.

If that doesn't work, maybe reregistering excel will help:

Close Excel and
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /unregserver
then
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /regserver

(Both of these are just guesses!)
