Excel 2003 - Copy and paste

I have a column filtered. I have copied the column, changed the figures and
then tried to paste it back on the original filtered column. It is not
copying over the same cells. It is copying over the unfiltered columns. The
spreadsheet/cells are not protected and I can't figure out why it is not
copying over the filtered cells as it usually does.

Please help
