Excel 2003 Error "Not enough resources to display correctly."

I've encountered this error while opening Excel 2003. This wasn't
specific to a single user profile on the computer. All users
experienced the same error on this system. Specifics:
Dell D600 LAPTOP
Windows XP SP2
Office 2003 SP2

Result: This was surprisingly caused by a corrupted hardware profile.
In this case the "docked" profile. Deleting and recreating it
corrected the issue.
