I don't know if anybody at MS is interested in an obscure error, but I
encountered one. In a particular workbook, I was trying to change the font
size of a cell. As soon as I clicked on the dropdown, a dialog window
appeared informing me that an unsuccessful attempt to print the worksheet had
been made. After clicking OK, the font size dropdown was open and could not
be closed; no matter where I clicked on the worksheet the dropdown stayed
open and I could not get it to close. I just had to close the worksheet.
The only way I could get back to working on the document was to change my
default printer (from FoxitPDF printer to HP LaserJet1000), then reopen the
document and everything was fine. The first time the problem occurred the
application terminated abnormally and generated a report to MS.
If you'd like more information and a copy of the offending document, please
contact me.
