Excel 2003 - Fatal error when the app is closed

Recently I started getting the following error msg "MS Office Excel has
encountered a problem and needs to close..." after I close the spreadsheet
and exit the application. Excel is version 11 Build 8134 and part of Office
Professional 2003. Any help will be appreciated.
