I have a number of users with this problem.
When a user tries to load a specific file, that instance of excel freezes
for upwards of 30 minutes. It will eventually open the file. The file begins
to load, and will start showing data, but will hang near the end of the
fill-bar. Other users and even the same user logging in to another PC can
load this file. Another user logging on to this pc can open this file.
I've tried the following solutions, which haven't worked completely.
-Recreating the user profile. (Partial success) This will allow the user to
work for a limited amount of time. (Longest is 3 days)
-Unregserver regserver (No good)
-Save each tab as a sep file (Seems to Work)
-Save as office 95 (Works to some extent)
-Save as office 97 (no workee)
I dont' have the HP share web.
I don't have virusscan locking it
I don't have any addins running
I don't have ignore other programs checked
I don't have any macros running
Macro security is at Medium, just in case
The file is 4.44MB in size
There are about 30 Worksheets.
I don't have any clue as to what the solution is!
