excel 2003 frozen?

Hello,

Problem: When in an excel worksheet, I cannot scroll with my mouse or
type in any cell.

I went to the "window" menu and nothing is frozen that way. I can use
the scroll bar to the right to move up and down in the spreadsheet and
I can click on a cell, but it won't let me type. I am not finding
this problem on any other application, including microsoft word.

Hopefully this is enough information, I do not know a lot about
computers.

Is there any trial office/ excel on your computer? Any macros?
What all have you tried? Did you try a Detect and repair from the Add remove
programs-?change
