I (think I) need to restore all customized settings to
the default as originally installed. But my Excel 2003
Help Menu does NOT have the "detect and repair" sub menu
that MicroSoft Assistance claims is there. Supposedly
this sub-menue enables one to reinstall without retaining
custom settings.
Something happened to my Excel 2003 that generates a VB
error message '5' when I open a macro-containing file and
select "enable macros" from the security window that
appears. Thus, I cannot open the file (with macros
enabled), although Excel 2000 works fine on another
computer.
