I'm a new mac user

Haven't been able to get my book (written on Excel 2003 windows), with
lots of macros, and Active X controls on worksheets) to run on

Office 2004 for Mac.

I can use Parallels, (installed and working ok so far) or -

For the sake of keeping everything in the mac evironment, try to use
the mac office '04 excel

Is it worth it to get it to work?

its crashing, and I'm not sure what to do..

Thanx, Gary O

If the book uses Active-X Controls it will not work as designed in Mac XL -
Mac OS does not support Active-X. Also, the nature of the VBA may prevent it
from running in 2004 (at least not without some degree of modification). VBA
on the Mac is at least one full version behind VBA on Windows... And, as I
understand it, won't be going any further.
