Hi:
I can't reproduce this but I have built a workbook using queries on
different sheets that are parameterized. I used Microsoft Query and it
hits an Access database.
The users report sometimes it gets the numbers wrong--seems like it
doesn't refresh (sometimes) when the parameter is changed. There are
two parameters and they come from another worksheet. They click on
"Enable Refresh" when it comes up when they open the workbook.
I saw a MSFT KB that says that, if you have parameters on different
worksheets, it might not refresh sometimes. However this was an issue
with Excel 2000 and this is 2003. The fix then was to apply a service
pack or to work around by referencing the parameter cells on the other
sheet with cells on the query sheet (outside the query), and then
having the query refresh based upon the change of that cell on the
same sheet, so the user changes cell A2 on the first sheet, cell F2 is
equal to FirstSheet!A2, it changes automatically, and then the second
sheet's query kicks off based on the change of SecondSheet!F2.
I am trying that, but any other ideas? Anyone have problems like
this?
Thanks,
Kayda
