Hi,
A customer has a shortcut toolbar on the windows start bar. She can
easily navigate the shortcut folders to her files. in excel this works for
the first file, but when opening a second excel file it takes about 20-30
seconds longer. However if i copy the same shortcut to the desktop, or even
move the toolbar off the startbar and onto the desktop (which means it opens
a folder rather than expanding it inside the toolbar) the second excel file
opens as quickly as you would expect.
I can replicate this issue on other PC's, with XP pro & office 2003.
I have all the latest avaialble updates installed. I have tried it with the
antivirus software enabled and disabled.
Cheers
