Excel 2003 subtotal functionality error

Hi,

Excel 2003 subtotal functionality Error and problem.
1. It creates extra Total row and do outline rowlevel grouping on it.
2. It works fine while subtotaling at level 1 and 2, but then it tries to do
subtotaling
at level 3 it fails, with Error as "-2147417848 Automation error The
object
invoked has disconnected from its clients. "
3. puts Grand Total/ Total at wrong position.

Please guide me with the fix for the above issues for Excel 2003 Subtotal
functionality.

You've posted in a Macintosh Excel newsgroup - you might have more
success in a general/Windows XL group for specific XL03 problems.

However, you also haven't provided much information to help narrow down
the problem:

How are you creating the subtotals, and what do you mean by an "extra"
Total row?

What type of data are you subtotaling? For instance, does the data
contain links to other sheets or workbooks?

What do you mean by "puts Grand Total/ Total at wrong position"? ge
