I'm using a worksheet that has several tabs. I need to pull select
information from all tabs into one Summary tab. I've create the references I
need for the tabs I have now but there will be others.

Can I create a "template" tab so that it can be copied and renamed and the
reference in the Summary tab will update or will I have to make the change
manually fore each reference?

Yes, you can create a template tab.

When you have renamed a copy of that template tab, you can change all your
references (in your summary sheet) to that new copy by using the "Replace"
function of Excel.

For example, your old sheet is called "Sheet1" and the new copy is called
"Sheet2". You want to link to the new one...

From the Edit menu, choose Replace. In the "Find What" field, put "Sheet1".
In the "Replace With" field, put "Sheet2". Click "Replace All".

Then, if a cell contains an original formula "=Sheet1!C7", it will be
changed to "=Sheet2!C7".
