Excel 2003 Unhide not working

E

I have a set of very complicated spreadsheets - no problem. However on one
of the sheets column A to E has 'disappeared'. I cannot unhide these
columns, I cannot drag before 'F' to unhide any columns prior to F. It
does not help to click on Format on either columns or rows and choosing
unhide. It is mission critical that I get these columns back. Can anyone
please help me.

Try Edit > Goto, type A:E in the box, click OK. Then Format > Column >
Unhide.

Dear Gary
Thank you for your help. It fixed the column F only. A bit of F was also
not showing and after doing what you suggested the whole of F now shows.
However, columns A to E are still not showing! I am going frantic here. The
whole spreadsheet is domino macro driven - using Alchemix as the report
writer tool. I gotta have these columns back. Any other help please? Thank
you for responding.

Another way of unhiding columns is to select the entire worksheet by
clicking on the unlabeled border cell in the top left corner (to the left
of column A and above row 1) and doing the Format > Column > Unhide thing.
If that doesn't work, then the missing columns aren't hidden -- at least
not in the usual way. I don't know what else could cause the symptom you
report.

All you need to do is turn off any filters you have on the sheet and i
will work. Then re-apply your filters
