Excel 2004 and Email Hyperlinks

Greetings Group,

I have created an Excel spreadsheet for keeping track of a small phone
directory. I then turn this into a PDF for the web, using either
Acrobat Professional or Apple's built-in "Save As PDF" from the print
dialog. However, I have noticed that certain email addresses get broken
within the final PDF document.

Many of the email addresses have a (e-mail address removed)
structure. However, this will be "magically" changed to
(e-mail address removed).

I have tried modifying the "Display" and the "Link To" fields to match
within the Edit Hyperlink feature without success (appears just fine
within Excel). I have also tried taking out the mailto hyperlinks all
together, but the final PDF document sees these addresses as a mailto
link either way. I have tried making the field text and general, but
doesn't seem to matter.

Has anyone seen this before? Is there an easy work around?

The only way I can reproduce anything like this is to have the cell
containing the hyperlink right-aligned and the cell width less than the
width of the text.

Depending on the font and the printer driver, the text in the PDF
produced using Print to PDF can be slightly wider or narrower than the
text shown in the cell.

Do you see all the text in Print Preview?

Do you have any event or auto macros running?

If you wish, you can send me a small workbook and I'll take a look at
it. Zip or Stuff it, and send if from your address above, so that it
gets through my filters.
