Excel 2004 --> control-shift-8 broken?

Bryan Harris

Could someone confirm that control-shift-8 is broken in Excel 2004?

It's supposed to expand the selection to include all non-blank cells
around the currently selected cell, but it does nothing for me in
Excel 2004...

Thanks.

Given the changes in keyboard shortcuts from XL98 to XL01 to XLv.X, I'd
question the use of "supposed to", and "broken", but CTRL-SHIFT-8 was
not assigned in my XL04 version.

However, like any other keyboard shortcut, that took about 15 seconds to
change:

Tools/Customize/Customize Keyboard...

In the All Commands category, choose the Select Current Region item.
Enter CTRL-SHIFT-8 in the keyboard shortcut textbox and click Add.

Sorry, I was a bit too glib - I know that Help does say CTRL-SHIFT-* is
supposed to select the current region...
