I've upgraded to Excel 2004 from Excel X and discovered the number of
financial functions is much less than in Excel X. I thought the missing
functions might be add-ins so I clicked on Tools, clicked on Add-in, checked
the Analysis Tool Pak box and clicked on OK. I didn't get any additional
financial functions. The specific function I'm looking for is XIRR.

How can I add in the additional functions?

I'm not sure what you mean when you say "I didn't get any additional
financial functions." Did the ATP (not thee ATP for VBA) load?

What happens when you enter the function in a cell? The function works
for me when the Analysis Toolpak Add-in is loaded.

If you choose Insert/Function, is XIRR in the list of Financial
functions? It is on my machine.
