excel 2004 for Mac

I used to have a dialogue box at the top of the excel spreadsheet
which allowed me to edit cell entries-I seem to have lost that box and
wonder if someone can tell me how to get it back??

Take a look in Excel>Preferences>View to be sure there is a check in the box
for Formula Bar. If the check is there it may be that the bar has been moved
to a different location on screen. Post back with your findings.
