Excel 2004 (german): Wrong dialog in VBA?

This might be an defect that could be fixed in SP1. ;-)

If I try to remove a class or module in Excel VBA I will be asked "Do
you want to export 'ModuleName' before deleting it?" (of course in
german) If I answer this question with yes the file will be deleted!

My colleague works with an english version and he got this dialog:
"Are you sure to delete 'Name?" (or something like this). After that
the file will be deleted depending from his answer. So I guess we get
both the same dialog with different texts.

Hope this helps someone,
Matthias

Hmmm...

In my US English version, when I choose Remove <module>, I get the

Are you sure you want to delete <Name>?

dialog. When I click "Yes", the module is deleted, not the file.

Are you saying your XL2004 (German) version gives you the opportunity to
export? I've only seen that with Windows XL versions...

In any case, it still should delete only the module, not the file.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. You are of course right, only the
module is deleted, not the file.
The problem is that the german translation indicates that the module
will be exported, but the behaviour is that of the english-Mac
version, ie: "Are you sure you want to delete <name>?" (but of course
the german user's don't see this!). This is rather misfortunate
because answering "yes - I would like the module exported" results in
the module being deleted, without an export being created.

Kind regards,

Matthias

So it sounds like this is a problem with the way the German version was
localized. That is unfortunate, though it should also be easy to fix
(much easier than actually implementing the export function, which would
be nice, but I don't expect).

Please make sure you submit this via XL's Help/Feedback on Excel... menu
item.
