Excel 2007 cell format - numbers

How do I keep Excel from adding "0" to numbers? When I type "7" it returns
"70000000000000"
I tried using the accounting, currency, and number cell format but nothing
worked.

Office button>excel options>advanced and clear "automatically insert a
decimal point"
