EXCEL 2007 no longer add properly

P

pcor

In cell k17 I have the number 1
in cell l17 I have the number 2
in cell m17 I have the formula =+k17+l17(and the answer is 3 as it should be)
Here is the trouble. If I copy cell M17 down to M18 thru m20 I still get the
answer as 3 but there are no number in the k18 and l18 or k19 and l19 or k20
and l20
What has gone wrong?
Thanks

Hi,

Did you recalcule the spreadsheet - press F9? If this is the problem, then
choose Tools, Options, Calculation, Automatic

THis is really different.
I did as you suggested and sure enough the setting was set to MANUAL. I then
when to EXCEL OPTIONS/FORMULAS and selected AUTOMATIC and save all. then I
went to the main page and clcicked on CVALCULATION(under Formalas) and
selected AUTOMATIC. All worked very well. Save the workbook and closed. When
I reopened the work book al the settingwere re set to MANUAL. Can you help

Hi

Is it the first workbook you opened in that Excel session?
The setting is taken from the first workbook opened. If you have a file that
is being opened automatically when Excel starts, then ensure that it's
settings are set to Automatic Calculation, then Save it.
