Excel 2007 Opening File

If I'm in Excel 2007 and open a file, it opens pretty quickly. However, if
Excel is closed and I double-click on an Excel file in Windows Explorer,
Excel opens right away, but it takes up to a minute for the file to open.
Any idea why? (I don't have this same problem with a Word file.)
