We've been upgrading clients from Office 2003 Pro to Office 2007 Pro. We've
encountered a particularly annoying problem with an Excel 2007 "feature". At
some point in their use of Excel 2007 some of our customers are finding
themselves stuck in a file recovery loop when they open an Excel file. Excel
"remembers" a file for recovery upon opening and immediately proceeds with
encountering a problem and needs to close dialogue box with the restart Excel
and recover my work check box checked. This would normally be OK except in
these instances, the restart of the application results in the same dialogue
box - repeatedly. This error then occurs anytime the user attempts to open
the application, even when just opening the application and not an Excel
file. I think you can understand the frustation which this may cause.
