Excel 2007 - VLOOKUP always returns #N/A

Patrick

I have just migrated to Excel 2007. The function VLOOKUP always returns #N/A
when it was not the case with Excel 2003.
Are there any settings I have to change in the Excel or Office options?

Thank you for your help

I use the standard VLOOKUP formula
My objective is to get information that is in another file. I often use this
function. Since I am under Excel 2007 reply is always #N/A. Maybe some
security or advanced options need to be enabled or disabled.

There is no standard VLOOKUP formula. The bevior depends very much on the
4th argument (FALSE or TRUE), on the data being sorted or not, the relative
column number in the 3rd argument etc.

And, since you're extracting data from another file, the presence of spaces
or other nonprinting characters. This happens quite often if you import data
from other applications, web browsers, etc.
