Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
iMac running 10.5.8
I received a warning that AutoRecover could no longer save, Excel froze, and I had to force quit.
Now I can no longer format numbers. The formatting defaults to one decimal place regardless of my Cell Format choice or the number of digits I enter.
I've repaired permissions and restarted; launched Excel with the shift key depressed, quit, and restarted; and launched with the shift key depressed, unchecked "auto recover" in Preferences/Save/Autorecover, and restarted. #2 works after launch, but if I launch normally thereafter the problem persists. The Auto Recover folder is empty. I'm reluctant to trash the Auto Recover or Preferences folders w/o advice.
I'd appreciate anyone's help. Thanks.
