Hi,
my Finance department prepares reports in Excel that link to external
Workbooks. For years users have been opening the files without access to
all the linked files. In Excel 2003 or Excel 2004, users just click
Ignore Links, and the last updated value is displayed.
In Excel 2008, that doesn't work. Any cell with an external link, or any
cell indirectly referencing an external link, shows #VALUE!.
Is there a way to correct this behavior? Giving everyone access to the
linked files is not an answer. For the time being, I reinstalled Office
2004 on my test users' computers, and they're using Excel 2004.
Thanks for any help with this,
