Excel 5.0 intall error message

Please help. I am trying to install excel 5.0 on windows
me edition. I keep getting error message Setup.exe is not
a valid win32 application. Then it advises me that I might
not have enough memory and to close programs. I defenitley
have enogh memory and no other programs are running. What
am I doing wrong? Is it even possible to do it?
