Excel '97 text import problems:
I'd like to import a comma delimited .txt file with line break codes
for 'start new row' to my excel'97 worksheet.
Unfortunately it treats the 1st row of data as headings (as there
aren't any headings).
So:
1) I'd like the macro to treat all the file as data
And,
2) I'd also like to only select certain columns by their position.
I managed to do it quite simply in excel 2000 and 2002 as the text file
import is so much better.
the macro code for the 2000, 2002 versions connect the source the file
as TEXT whereas the '97 version uses FINDER in the SQL
Any suggestion gratefuly received and acknowledged.
many thx in advance
