Excel 97 running in XP

Hello, we are trying to run Excel 97 on 3 new XP computers introduced into the network, all other coms are Windows98. I had to uninstall the (preinstalled) Excel 2003 prior to installing Excel 97. They just crash and wont run the VBA code and in debug I get this message "Missing Microsoft Calendar Control 8.0" and this file I believe is called MSACAL.TWD. Interesting thing is that this "addin" is not required on the other Windows 98 computers in order to run the code

I know that if we wipe these coms and install Windows 98 we could get round this problem, but ideally it would be nice to retain XP and run Excel 97 on them. I have asked another question related to this regarding future upgrading

Thank you for your time

This is a guess.

I think that the calendar control actually comes with Access (but can be used
within excel if it's installed).

Open your troublesome workbook on a xl97 pc.

Hit alt-f11 to get to the VBE.
select your project
tools|references
look for a reference to the calendar control.
Uncheck it.

Try your macro to see if it was actually used. If not, then save this new
workbook and try it on your xl2003 pcs.
